Let me introduce myself.
After a 24-year corporate career, I resigned to open my own business.
My company focused on three primary areas: systems thinking strategic planning, customized development, and delivery of business training for medium and large organizations and executive coaching.
I had the distinct pleasure of working with such organizations as the U.S. Air Force, Singapore Police, Singapore Civil Aviation, Laqtel Communications Trinidad, Farm Credit Canada, Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority, First Nations University, Cameco, West Wind Aviation, Airline Hotels Ltd., International Road Dynamics, and Affinity Credit Union. I was an instructor for the University of Saskatchewan Extension Division.
My educational background is diverse; Systems Thinking Planning, Management and Innovation, Reality Therapy, Adult Education, Master Facilitation and Ministry.
My last 25 years in business and various leadership roles within companies has brought me an enormous amount of satisfaction serving the needs of the business world. I am grateful to have worked with some great teams. From start ups to pre-existing business’s that wanted a measure of growth who assigned me the task to drive the business development forward for the organization resulting in many success stories which included in part, having a direct impact on the revenue growth of the organization.
In my leadership role as a Proctor Gallagher Certified Consultant and Business Advisor, it is about serving the worthiness of others, helping business leaders and people to become the best version of themselves and committing to their personal and professional development for the benefit of their business.
Enter Mindful Retirement
Through 2022 I engaged with a longtime friend and college as an accountability partner - Pat Clarkson. Initially our journey together was as accountability partners, supporting each other as we mentored one another towards our personal, spiritual, and mindful development goals.
Pat was in “Retirement”, I was thinking about “Retirement”, but my thoughts weren’t seemingly inline with what society was defining as retirement. Myself at 64 and Pat at 70, we both started to challenge the current retirement model as I personally could not visualize or emotionalize it. Pat was currently living it with a view that needed some clarification in her life.
From both of our perspectives, we agreed that my comment, “retirement is just an illusion” reflected reality for many individuals. Historically, financial preparedness was the critical element to the success of your retirement. Your financial preparedness consisted of determining your projected life span. From this position, you would financially prepare. How well you planned would indicate your living standard. Financial planning is a critical aspect of retirement planning however we asked there must be more to preparing for a fulfilling retirement. This was the catalyst that moved us to add value to the term retirement and serve others with our findings.
Fast forward to Mindful Retirement, where we have decided we want to be the global leader in managing the transition into retirement for people. Offering a unique approach to retirement planning. Managing that key transition gap in retirement, the human side, the mindful side that will clear this vague misty area around retirement. Our research has found some amazing things that we wish to share.
We are both excited to introduce our success system for retirement, a coaching method that introduces a way to think about ourselves, achieving fulfillment, personal growth, and meaningful experiences into retirement.
Lets have coffee.
